This is from Saturday night but my brother just sent me the picture he took. I was watching 8 doe and yearlings and a small rat 6 point when a heard of hogs came in. They were rude and ran the deer off. I hate rude behavior. So I taught this sow a lesson! The Sitdrag and the longbow are a great combination!

Back at it again. 45 degrees this morning with an expected high of 82. Come on deer, cooperate!

Hunted last night in a spot I have been dieing to get into. Found a VERY good rub and set up close by. All the deer came down the small draw to my left and I never could see them. Even at 40 yds.

I'm right on the edge of "kind of" thick and "super thick" and they stayed in the super thick stuff.

Sounded like a couple of bucks hitting antlers together in there and they sounded BIG!

I have to figure out how to get in there and hunt.

Had one walking right toward me this morning got to 5 yards or less, froze then back tracked, could barley see anything it was still dark, about 20 minutes later, I see 2 off in the field on the other side, about 30 yards, they stayed for a few minutes, downwind too, still too early to shoot :(

Didn’t have signa to update this morning. Had a total of 4 does (2 were yearling) and a six point come through this morning. I sat in a box on some winter wheat and the mature does just wouldn’t cross the fence to my side.
The six came in trotting and grunting the whole way. I heard him 100 yards out. He scattered the does and meandered off a few minutes later.
Overall, I had the 4 does within 50 yards for about an hour. About to head out and sit a sycamore tree in the same area because a mid day wind shift out the box out of place wind wise. If that little six gets in range, I might put him on the ground... I definitely will for one of the mature does. The oldest doe has a very distinct double white patch on her neck. I’d love to take her because of that. We shall see.

Those same dang 4 does skirted JUST out of range again. Even after my adjustment. I almost moved 250 yards to my north just to see, but didn’t. Guess where they bee-lined... right where I thought of setting up. Haha this is just comical. I do believe I will leave this spot alone for a week or so, that way I don’t pull my hair out trying to get one doe when there are plenty on other places to be had.

Yesterday we had almost 4" of rain that ended around 8 last night. Slipped back into the spot where I had an encounter with a nice buck. I was hoping to catch him coming back to bed late. I have seen him a number of times in a small swampy creek bottom. As it got light I realized that the creek had flooded from all the rain and while it was no longer up over the banks it had washed through the bedding area. I was feeling a little down but decided to sit it out anyway. I ended up seeing a real nice 8 point on the other side of the swamp about 250 yards out. Also saw a small 8 point pushing 2 does around. Ultimately those 3 came right past me. I would have shot the doe but I am try to be very careful about my scent in there so I let her walk. I am going to get that buck I am after yet.. I hope.... :) The spot sets up so that if I am patient for the right winds I can sneak in and not leave ground scent where the deer are. 3rd sit in the general area and have seen to large bucks...

Just shot 2 doe, first quartering away, second broadside, 20 and 30, waiting for them to expire, hoping for clean kills on both. First one didn't pass through, think I hit the opposite shoulder. Second went straight through. Funny thing is I didn't reload after the first shot thinking I would just wait, not expecting another one to show up. I'm surprised she didn't bust me with all the movement.

Photo is the second one, I was laughing at myself because I wasn't ready and I did think about it, shot her in the gap to the left.

Just smoked a stud!!!!!! I wasn't even at hunting height yet. Probably less than 10 feet up the tree on my spurs. Lol, first time I've ever shot one from a lineman's belt.

Waiting on some pics!!! Awesome my man
