Making the EONPOW climbers a viable option!

I read yesterday they have a max weight of 220 lbs.

Mr. Red and Mr. Boudreaux,

My EONPOW’s just arrived and are as you’ve described. Time to start the mods.
Looking forward to the climb.

Got mine last week. Same. Mods are easy. Only thing I need is someone to weld nuts on. I used camo gorilla tape to cover the rail where it slides through the opening. That was JUST thin enough to not cause it to bind when sliding to adjust.

Mine came in 3 days.

I know a guy(a welder). He likes the weird hunting projects I give him.

I may even ask him to make a stronger pair. I’m currently 227. I figure I need to lose another 17 to be at weight in cold gear.

Maybe he could make something out of aluminum.

If you could design ones that could link up at the top to form a platform it would be the tiddies. An idea of mine I had before I ever heard of these things, but I have no drive to execute such ideas so I am just going to throw it out there.

I’m not sure how I’d do that. There might not be enough clearance left to easily walk up.
Good food for thought.

I originally jb welded them on. That broke the first trip up lol. I currently have them held on with plastic instamorph. I think it is going to be strong enough and work well but I haven't climbed with them yet.

Mine come tomorrow. I am surprised amazon has not run out. The saddle hunter effect

It would be nice to make some about a pound lighter each! lol
No doubt! If someone made these 1-2 lbs lighter total weight with a better foot box it would be awesome! I would use the heck out of them.

Thanks,
Boswell

I think they will be nice because they are lighter than three muddy, height is unlimited and they will pack nicer on my bag. I can actually strap them to my pack rather than my pack to my sticks.

On that note. I took my EONPOWs to a welder today to make the mod you recommended. He hunts himself, and when I suggested he make an aluminum set, he got excited.
He’s a big guy and thinks he can make some strong enough and lighter.
I told him to view the pelmonts on line as well.
I’ll be talking with him about it in the near future, so ideas are welcome, eh!
