Making the EONPOW climbers a viable option!

Tell you what, Ontario. After there done. I’ll do a review to show them off. I’ll get a price and then you can decide.

Uh oh. That’s bad grammar.
Sorry, eh.

I read yesterday they have a max weight of 220 lbs.
Oh oh, I didn't see that before I got mine. I hope I don't tear them up. I'm going 260 without gear these days.

I did some digging and found the weight rating on Amazon. From what I understand they are made in China. As a fellow big guy I am going to pass on getting them. I think from what I have seen for an average size guy they are very viable.

Hopefully one of those Canadians will build some aluminum Eonpows for men.

I may have a set of modified Eonpow climbers for sale. Dang. I really was looking forward to using these.

How convenient I may be interested in some modified empowerment climbers!

Dang! I really wanted to use these. Those triangular tubes look solid but I probably shouldn't push the stated limits. I just had a fellow weld the nuts on two days ago. All you'd need to do is put some straps on. Other hardware has been replaced.

I simply drilled and tapped the tube for my plastic wing nut. It seems pretty good so far. I wrenched on it pretty good and it didn't strip out. If it holds up, it's easier than getting a nut welded on.

I was going to do that but I had a welder lined up so I went ahead and welded the nuts on.

I’m sorry I haven’t followed up on the aluminum. My Dad is in ICU right now and it’s been touch and go.

Sorry to hear that fawnzy. My mom is suffering the last stages of lung disease I do empathize, I hope your dad pull through his trial. I will pray for your dad now.

Thanks Ontario. For my Dad, it’s lungs as well.

Best wishes to you both. Tough times for sure.

I welded mine myself. I am a poor welder but my welding job works.
I have a big ass stick welder my uncle gave me. I need to go through it though and replace a bunch of parts. Might just buy a cheap mig to have on hand

As weird as these climbers seem they do work. Thanks to @Boudreaux for his video and showing us that they are a viable option. I have practiced with them a bit and I do feel safe in them.
I have also practiced repelling out of the tree with a grigri plus - it is more expensive but more idiot proof . More fun trying new stuff. SRT next??? I wish I could use spurs... the recent videos make we want them again.
I have also practiced a bit with short sticks and a long aider. They pack well and really do not sacrifice any height compared to long sticks. They weigh a bit more than WE steps but attach with little movement or noise. I am sure they are a bit quicker to climb too.
Funny climbing with those weird Enopow climbers seems like a safe way to climb now I have tried them. Not what I thought when I saw them.
So many choices - now pick one and make it perfect.
