Modifications - Badlands Monster Pack

Picked this pack up to try out this season. After trying it out I realized it needed a few modifications. Note - nothing was sewn directly into the pack. Everything is removable and takes advantage of existing straps/buckles.

Mod 1: One Stick Straps.
Two straps that slide onto the back strap of the shoulder straps.

Mod 2: Water Bottle Holder accessible while walking

Added an insulated water bottle holder to the right side that attaches to the right side shoulder strap and side pouch accesory cinch.

Mod 3: Rollup Accessory Pouch for Ropes

I needed something to keep my ropes dry/clean and keep them from snagging walking through the woods. I plan on biking in a lot this year, so prevent water/mud getting on them from rear tire was also needed. Pouch attaches to existing straps on bottom of bag.

Mod 5: 550 cord hanger

Finally added a loop of 550 cord so I can hang bag in tree before clipping the waist band arpund the trunk.

Very awesome. I’ve been considering doing a water bottle mod on mine. How does the current arrangement impact your ability to access that side pocket, with the pack on?

No issues. Just moves it slight away from waist.
 
Where did you get these straps at? I’ve been trying to figure out a way to attach the same one stick and that’ll work perfect.

I made them. Its just 3/4" flat webbing and some buckles
