Hey everyone,

I have been wanting an excuse to get into saddle hunting for a few years now, and finally, my son needs someone over his shoulder while getting into stand hunting while learning the ropes. I can't think of a better excuse.

Udoutfully, he is going to try and take my set-up though, especially if I figure out how to look cool while rappelling down a tree.

Welcome from Alabama. My wife is from Salem and her folks are still out there. We are making a road trip out this summer. What part of oregon are you from?
 
Thanks for all the welcomes. I am located to close to Portland for my liking, but it is where the work and family are at.

I was thinking September looks a little more like this in Oregon? These are from under my stand last year about opening weekend. Date on the second photo is wrong.

Welcome from New Jersey. That was one of the funniest introductions I’ve read yet LOL. You may as well just order 2 of everything now and you’ll save on shipping in the long run! Just tell the wife you can sell the metal stand for way more than some ropes and straps cost.

I normally buy what I think I'll like, then hand down the stuff that doesn't work out quite like I thought it would . Nobody has caught on yet .
