Hello Everyone,
I’ve been considering saddle hunting for a few years and finally took the plunge with a Tetherd Phantom this year. I only have public ground to hunt so I’m planning on using 20” hawk helium sticks as a climbing method. I wanted to reach out to see if anyone on here is local to the Putnam County NY area who might be willing to meet up to show me the ropes/give me some tips before the season gets started. If your not local but have some links to videos or information to help with proper fit/technique that would be appreciated as well!
 
From Monroe County and new to saddle hunting this year as well. This place is loaded with good info.

Welcome from Westchester. My first season with a saddle as well. I'm planning to hunt several DEP properties in Putnam this fall.

That’s where I hunt as well. Hoping to see some more deer this season- EHD hit the herd really hard up there last summer.
