So I had a couple questions if anyone doesn't mind chiming in. I'm sure these are common sense, but I can't seem to figure these simple little things out yet. So, here goes...1) I here a lot about tether height being about forehead, is that standing straight up on platform or leaning away with linemans belt. 2) I feel like I cannot swing to the side of a tree at all as I feel like I'm being slingshotted back to a neutral position, 3) I cannot seem to keep the kestrel from sliding up. I take weight off of the bridge and try to slide it down, but it inevitably always rides back up pretty badly. That and the wild edge stepps and I are not getting along like I had hoped. Thanks for any insight everyone can give to help a rookie.

1). Standing up close to the tree but, this is just a starting point you might find that you like it a lottle higher or lower.

2) how long is your bridge?

3) try wearing the saddle lower. Before I put weight in the saddle I slide the belt down several inches below the waist line on my pants. Think of wearing the saddle like "plumbers pants"

From the outside of the loop to the outside of the carabiner it is 31.25 inches. That's after shortening it substantially from what it came as.

Most settle somewhere between 24-30" from bridge attachment loop to bridge attachment loop. The longer the bridge the less movement you have around the tree or the higher you have to go with your tether.

I use a ropeman1 on my bridge so I can adjust it. Works well. Keep the buckle on you Kestrel at belt level and tighten it that may help it from sliding down and adjust your leg straps so they cradle your butt
