Newbie Scent Control Advice

If you could setup down wind every time from where you knew the deer would come you would never need scent control. That's how Dan does it from I gather reading his posts and listening to his podcasts. The problem arises like most here will tell you is if you CAN'T do that. Alot of times you can and if you just wait on the right wind you can be successful. I have one farm that I hunt where if i had to wait on a good wind, I would rarely get to hunt any of my sets. As funny as it sounds, anything out of the North is a death sentence due to land features and bedding. Yeah, and you guessed it.. the predominant wind for my area in the fall is N/NE

:grinning:
The rubber boot smell will only go away with time. But I wouldn't worry about it.

As mentioned there are weekly specials and closeouts on the scentlok site right now. There will be killer deals starting in december and running into the spring.
Getting ready to make an order in a few!:grinning::grinning::grinning:

His whole deal is knowing exactly where they bed from scouting. Hes perfected finding them and with that knowledge plus very understanding of how thermals work in these areas, he knows how to get there even in iffy winds. Hes definitely on a different level

If theres one bit of knowledge to take from him though....milkweed

Oh I agree brother. I guess to put it in a nutshell, he's perfected putting himself in the right position at all times. He is definitely on another level

Alright I found a sale on Scent Lok and pulled the trigger, did my first hunt today and got soaked because of the rain, what's the best way to dry them out? I don't want to hang then in the house, dryer with some Scent control dryer sheets?
