Official 2016 Deer Contest Standings

Ah I wish I had your problem flingin. Had nice shooters early in the season and then I swear some aliens abducted them lol. This has been an endless pursuit this year and seems to be the year of seeing 4ptrs this year nothing bigger. I may try to whack one with only two weeks left in the season since some are just genetically small but at the 3year old mark. Some guys have good problems i guess lol

Not sure if you can get 2 bucks in your state, but you can always upgrade once for the competition.... wait, shouldn't be helping other teams.... you hold out for the 27 point swamp donkey!

Oh it is. Lol. Bucks at my spot every day while I'm not there. Went there tonight and did the best ninja sneak of my career to my tree and didn't see a dang deer!

Yeah for bow we get 2 either sex and 2 antlerless in most zones. There are two zones in the southern section of the state that will give you what they call "earn a buck tag" which is shoot a doe bring it to a check station and they give you a buck tag!! I am no where close to those zones so I have 2 either sex tags left so bucks are the goal. This is just for archery gun season tags vary

Lol thanks for the advice been looking for a 27ptr to drive the wife crazy when its mounted on the wall lol

This weekend was ridiculous. The deer were on total lock down Fri, Sat, Sun. On Saturday evening two of us could see for a mile in multiple directions in snow fields on the evening hunt. Not one single deer moved anywhere before dark.

On Sunday evening it totally opened up. I rarely hunt Sunday evenings when I travel to hunt. But I told my buddy and my wife last Wed that based on the weather, Sunday evening was the best hunt since the rut so I was staying.

Sure enough, my friend had 15 different deer in shooting range. I had none. They came out in a weird spot, walked toward him and his muzzle loader barked twice - yep he got to shoot twice with a muzzle loader there were so many deer running confused...
