One-sticking or 2TCing in hammock-style saddle?

Who has one-sticked or 2TCed up in full kit in a Dryad Drey? Or even for similarity, done those in a DIY fleece saddle + RCH?

I don't mean who has worn a Dryad belt or RCH climbing up sticks, or who has just put on the hammock when at height. I want to know how it went wearing the hammock with the harness on the way up but the hammock is taking the brunt of your weight. I already assume leaning with your full weight on the tether in just a tiny harness would be very uncomfortable.

Was the hammock in the way? Did it feel like you were really stressing out the material?

I had the Mini Drey. You cannot onestick up on it solely, it's not life safety material. I onesticked on the Killdeer and it was great

One sticked with an RCH full time until I got the Wood saddle. Never had any issues with it at all.

Yeah, I mean you'd of course be wearing the safety belt with it, but with the hammock tightened on the tether so it helps distribute your weight.

But are you saying you one-sticked up on the Killdeer harness alone?

Yes I did. I've hunted on it solo as well

What RCH? And the leg straps didn't dig in hard or causing pinching when you leaned back to pull up the stick?
Started with a Vario speed harness and then got a metolius harness. The metolius has padded leg loops but I dont notice a significant difference between the two in climbing comfort. I never had any issues with either. I even did a few short hunts without ever attaching my fleece saddle. But I am a leaner rather than sitter.

I one stick and 2TC with a Black Diamond Momentum with a Full(gen 1 and gen2) and Mini attached before.

-The harness work great with both method, the RCH has just enough padding to make it comfortable enough. It wouldn't be something I sit in for hours, but its not what they were designed for.

-I would not do it with a full, just too much material. I actually step on the hammock a few times one sticking. It was actually easier with the gen1 because it permanent attached to the RCH via the pouch. So just sitting back against it was ok. But still too much material.

-The Mini wasn't too bad, especially if you have the stretchy belt that bungle the hammock together. It didnt get in the way and it is comfortable. But it is NOT a safety device, so you have to have an attachment setup for both the hammock and the RCH. which doubled your work when you have to adjust. You CAN attach both hammock and RCH to same carabiner/prussic, but this also does not work because the RCH should be close to your body and there is no way for you to get the hammock smaller than your actual RCH. Not sure if I'm saying this right. But because the RCH is short and close to your body, it will always be the first area that support your weight, there is no point in wearing the hammock while climbing.

The RCH harness you're using is a better fit for onesticking or SRT than any hunting saddle on the market

I love my Killdeer and Mini-Drey setup, but I cannot answer the actual question, because I put the Drey on at height. I will SRT/rappel/climb with just the Killdeer and put on/remove the Drey at height.

I actually use a separate "mini-tether" with a small figure-eight loop on one end and a stopper on the other. I have a Sticht hitch with a locking carabiner on the "mini-tether". The top loop of the "mini-tether" connects to my primary climbing/tether carabiner (same with the Drey bridge) and the Killdeer belay loop gets hooked up to the carabiner on my "mini-tether". It can be shortened or lengthened as needed, thanks to the Sticht, and it solved most of my setup issues because I use both the Drey and a Cruzr setup depending on each hunt.

Do you have a pic of this?

Sorry to come back to this, but are you all wearing RCHs over bibs or parkas in cold weather? I mostly gun hunt PA and NY. Freezing temps are common. I'm seeming most harness sizes give only 3" adjustment at the waist. I'm wondering if I would need a model that offers more room for lots of winter layers?
