Here is how our open bridge system looks. By doing it this way, your bridge bridge still wraps and holds on each side so no accidental slips and keeps your place when you dial in your comfort. It is still adjustable, positionable, and openable. Best part is it weighs less than 3oz over the regular adjustable bridge.

The overall finished loop is 10”. It’s 3/16” amsteel. This gives proper length for the bury while also being prefect length to wrap the 4 wrap prusik, and heat shrink the end so that the carabiner has proper attachment space without the prusik undressing. I sell the bridge system as a finished unit, but if you already have the rest of the components, I think the amsteel guy sells some pre-spliced loops on EWO. It’s not super hard to make if you don’t mind splicing. The important thing is to make sure you have long enough bury and that you either Brummell lock it in place or use some thread to lock it down since amsteel is so slick.
