Petition to formally demand that swampsnyper attend Saddlepalooza 2019!!

If I do come, I’ll probably just bring my big pot and cook a jambalaya for everyone and not hunt. I’m sure the cornhole line to take on the champion will keep me busy the rest of the weekend.
Yep, this needs to happen! And no, if money doesn’t change hands you don’t need a permit.
I thought this was about getting @swampsnyper to join us. This has turned into a bunch of folks conspiring to dethrone the champion.
Sounds more like a bunch of guys enticing you into something immoral..... plying you with liquor and such.
I thought cookouts was a southern thing. No one pays for catering on an outdoor excursion from my parts. Georgia must not be far enough south.
Say what you want, but the food @g2outdoors supplied was DAMN good, and I quite literally only needed dinner and a single (small) snack each day to weigh 3lbs heavier on the scale when I got home. And that’s with covering 6-10 miles a day in search of bedded pigs.

The food @g2outdoors had catered was awesome. It was just what we needed when getting back from a long day of hunting. Sure, if someone wanted to stay home all day and prepare food for everyone, it would be even cheaper and be appreciated. But if everyone wants to hunt, having it catered was the perfect solution. I don't think anyone complained about the cost of the hunt (cause it was dirt cheap!)

Agreed!
Could have been 30 min later and Catman and I wouldn’t have been late every night! Lol

The catered food was awesome. It wouldn't be fair to ask anyone to cook.

Truth... you would have to miss at least half a day to prep for 40 people (and let’s face it... probably significantly more next year)

Don’t know how this got turned this direction. I in no way meant to bad mouth the job G2 has done. Hope it wasn’t taken this way. It was a huge sacrifice on his part to make it happen. I hope we have many more. I’ve heard nothing but greatness about the event. I apologize for the direction this thread has turned.
To a coonass, cooking isn’t a chore. It’s part of our heritage and we enjoy making people happy with our food. I wouldn’t have a problem staying at camp and cooking a jambalaya for the group if my pot is big enough for the group. I’ll be glad to do it one night if I come donated by me.
Here’s one event I held. Cooked my famous jambalaya.

And another year.

I don't think anyone had that impression. But you are definitely welcome to cook next year so @g2outdoors can go hunt. He's the only person Ft Stewart's history to actually harvest a pig. See you in a year coonass!

No one thinks you were accusing anything.... this ain’t that kind of forum at all!
Just reassuring that our food was GREAT. I kind of like the idea that none of us are missin’ out on the fun. (And especially at the price we got for the weekend) no one worrying about the food until it’s time to be delivered.... kinda nice. I would like to find a way to drag @g2outdoors into the hunt more next year, but that may be hard.

Edit: apparently, he keeps all the good pig killing spots to himself...

I know he didn’t hunt that much but I’m glad I dragged @g2outdoors out the last night

Isn’t that the truth.... telling us there’s pigs everywhere, but really they’re nowhere to be found..... tisk, tisk, tisk.....

He may never live this down!
I brought a bone saw, vacuum sealer, butchering knives and everything in anticipation. I may never recover from the disappointment... at least that’s what my therapist says ;-)

Ditto! Not taken that way at all. Just saying it was great not having to do anything but relax after a long hard day of not killing pigs and talking saddle smack.
