PHANTOM COMFORT CHANNELS

Are the comfort channels for the bridge only for leaning trees? I’ve only used my saddle in straight trees so far, and I can’t keep the bridge in any of the comfort channels except for the high position. Whenever I try a different channel it jumps right back to the high position.

I've never had the bridge jump channels on me while under tension.. do u run a high tether?... just wondering if an extreme tether angle is causing this.... that said... I don't like the confort channels because the second you shift weight and lose tension on the bridge, then yes the bridge will jump channels

I keep my tether at eye level. I guess I just need to keep practicing. I’m sure I can adjust my bridge and tether lengths to find that sweet spot while in the higher channel.

I run my bridge at roughly eye level as well. I try to move my comfort channels to the medium or lower setting - which is notably more comfortable for me. I run long or all day sits frequently in the rut. I do find that the bridge does jump up at times. I have considered using hockey tape or a tie wrap to hold it in place - but I haven't done that yet.

i had the same problem and got rid of the phantom. problem solved. If they just made a comfortable saddle they wouldnt have to make weird channels.

if you girth hitched the bridge to the bridge loops, then do you think it would cinch down in the channels better?

3 wraps of a girth hitch is a prusik hitch and a prusik on the bridge loops to allow adjustability is now a common feature, like on the amsteel bridge that comes on cruzr xc saddles

I’ve used the Phantom exclusively since December of 2020 and have not had a problem with the bridge jumping the comfort channel. I usually use the same channel all the time, but there have been one or two scenarios where being able to switch was nice.

I actually just removed my comfort channels and prefer it without them, but that's a bit of an extreme solution. There are many people with thousands and thousands of comfortable hours in the phantom. Don't get discouraged, just continue to tweak until it works for you

This point gets lost all the time. People seem to want saddles to be as comfortable as their living room furniture. People are soft, and hunting is hard.

My channel setting constantly moves around whenever I release the tension, but have never had them jumping off the beads when I had tension on it...they always seem to stay put on the beads I have them set to. It's a bit annoying, but I like the feature of being able to adjust that angle, so I deal with it. It is a clever feature, IMO.

Some living room furniture is more comfortable than others, saddles no different.

I've never had a Phantom to try, but neither the adjustable webbing bridge on a AH flex nor the Amsteel bridge on a Latitude Classic 2 move on the bridge loops unless I adjust them so I don't know what the deal is with Tethrd's little balls but they don't seem to be getting the job done unfortunately.
