Hey everyone does anyone live/hunt in Virginia more specifically Virginia public land. I just moved to northern Virginia from western PA and have always hunted western PA/eastern OH. The WMA I've been looking at is G.R. Thompson WMA. Does anyone know if there is a good amount of whitetails or bear in there. Also, how's the hunting pressure at Thompson?

Hey, I know this is an older post, but I just joined the site recently and was looking for other saddle hunters in my area. I also live in NOVA, Fairfax county at the moment until I can get something further out. I have hunted Quantico MCB for the last few seasons but it has been rough -- the deer are real spooky. I'm looking at hunting Fairfax county parks this upcoming season. Did you find an area you like? I wouldn't mind hearing your experience. I just got an aero hunter a few weeks ago and am just getting started with the saddle. Cheers
