Question on adjustments

So I'm new to the saddle scene....but I've added a Ape Canyon Pioneer saddle this yr and just had my 2nd set with it. There is one thing I cannot figure out. I prefer the saddle to sit below my belt but it keeps skipping over it and going up my back causing me to keep pulling it down. Once I get it down I'm super comfortable, until it rides up again. I've tried adjusting my tether height as well as bridge, and can't seem to figure it out. Anybody have any recommendations on how to remedy this? I'm assuming there is some sort of adjustment that I'm simply not understanding.
Thanks!

Sounds like your tether is too high. I had the same issue my first year.

I use my leg straps, but pulling the saddle down seems to be a big part of necessary adjustments. My saddle belt is always on top of my pants belt and I don’t think it could change places….YMMV.
Tether height and bridge length will play a role in comfort So keep tweaking those. Keep in mind if you keep your tether short, you won’t get as far around the tree, without getting wrapped up against it.
My leg straps are always on, but most days, the straps are pretty loose. Some days, I’ll cinch them down and feel more comfy when my package is bunched up like I’m wearing a cup(think jock support). What you’re going through is common so keep playing with it.
congratulations on entering the saddle world!

I would try lowering your bridge connections, as in moving them down towards the bottom of the saddle more, so it is scooping up your arse more which may alleviate it riding up. If you feel like you're "hanging from a rope", your tether is too high. To me when everything is just right, I feel like I'm just floating there.

Had the same problem tonight. My tether was way to high for my short bridge. The saddle was riding up my back. I'm new to saddles also, but that seemed to fix my issue.

I also have the Ape Canyon Outfitters Pioneer and it is super comfortable. I also noticed it would ride up but if you lower your bridge and tether it was like I was floating like duxsrus said. I lowered my tether to about chin high and lowered the bridge on the saddle bridge loops and also extend the bridge length it was so comfortable I felt like I was part of the tree.
