do you have problems with your bow hanging up on things facing that way? I am still looking at ways to mount my bow.

My plan is to make the rear rack solid enough to quarter up a deer and put it on the back. I don't want to get a trailer because I don't want to drag that down a single track trail.

Yep that would suck! topping off falling and then messing up your bow? might be a little much at 4 am riding in to the woods!

Yeah might as well sleep in lol jk. Because of this I plan to be careful. It’s more uphill anyway so it won’t be too fast. And a good light attached to the handlebars

I use a bike pretty often on one tract of public land. It's a fast and quiet way to travel. Definitely not trying to dissuade, just caution.

I ended up rigging a trailer from a Craigslist baby carrier. Holds my bow in a hard case, backpack, and quartered up deer on the way out.

Good deal man. Same reasons why I decided to get the bike. What all did you do to rig the baby carrier?

Basically just got rid of everything but the frame, cut a piece of osb to fit, stapled scrap carpet to it, and attached eyebolts to each corner. Just throw your junk on it, lash it down with bungies, and role. Carpet keeps things from rattling.

Simple, but it works. I think I have all of $30 in it.
