Anybody know a good resource for sewn prusiks that are in the 5-6mm range, and also not made of super vibrant colors like the ones from Beal and Sterling? Internet searches have not been very helpful.

What is the application? Trying to help, but a Prusik loop is only usable for a few friction hitches (prusik, Klemheist, autoblock, hedden), and I can't find any applications for em in saddle where there's not a better option for a better friction hitch where ya tie it with a length of accessory cord instead. If ya tell me what your using it for, i can give ya some other options. If you're comfortable tying more complex knots, this is my latest creation. But if ya want something more basic, a basic Michoacán is still a lot more useful than a prusik in my opinion. I own a few sewn prusik loops and can't find anything to use em for.

Thanks for the reply. I just want them for general prusik backups on 8 and 9mm tethers, and also to do some experimenting with a 2TC setup. I prefer sewn as I do not like the bulk that a knot can add, and I also tend to trust the sewn loops more. Just personal preference. I want them in several different lengths to have options, but they are quite hard to find like this, at least in that diameter. I may end up just special-ordering a bunch from a third party splicing firm and selling the extra.

Your ascender knots are interesting, but likely a bit overkill for my needs.

End to end splice of the tan Technora loop gives a fixed length, a Loopee is another easy splice that is adjustable, big blue rope. Although knotlike, a Blake’s and stopper is another adjustable loop. The purple cord is a simple way to make a soft shackle loop by using a girth hitch instead of the usual opening eye, tubing or a piece of cover will make it easier to use.

A simpler hitch would be the Sticht hitch that doesn’t bind up to where it can be used alone to descend repeatedly. Below is the Oval VT hitch made from the typical soft shackle configuration, similar to the Sticht.

Wild Edge has sewn TRC loops; and if you buy Beal 5.5mm in black from Eastern Woods Outdoors, Arbsession will custom sew loops of a requested size. I may have a few sewn (and rated/tested) loops of the Beal 5.5mm in black from Arbsession for sale if you want (I think they're about a 22" length in sling configuration). I also have a bunch of (both factory and custom) Edelrid slings in 6mm, but it's in a vibrant green lol.
