Just got my ropeman in last night. Do any of you that are using it have some pics of your setup? I understand the function but I'm curious about carabiners and the best setup. Thanks.

There really are lots of possibilities, but here are some of the basics.

On your tether it adjusts up and down with the carabiner that holds your bridge.

I added one to my bridge to make that adjustable

A lot of people put them on their lineman belt

And I don't have a picture of it, but you can also use it as part of a simple RAD system. (However I like the kong duck more for this application).

For what it's worth, I like to run rocklock carabiners. They have a round profile that seems to slide easier on the rope, and are thicker which I think let's me use the ropeman on thinner ropes. Finally, if you are using a webbing style bridge, the pear shape on the rocklock allows the webbing to slide easier.

Does that help?

Coincidently, if anyone has orange ropemans they would like to trade for blue, let me know.

I like the petzl ring. What are the main advantages of the adjustable bridge. Mine is fixed now. I like the easy adjustment you now have
Also do you still prefer the aero over the sit drag

Helps a lot man. I really appreciate it. I spent a little time in a tree today with the ropeman and your platform. Felt like I could do that all day long.

Ernie officially has the sweetest man-cave!!
Lol not even close but I do like it. There's a thread somewhere where I have more pictures if you are interested. I bought a house with an unfinished basement at a discount under the requirement that I get to design and finish the basement my way

This will be my first year with the aero. But I really want to like it. I had one last year but couldn't get it adjusted right. I really think it was the wrong size. I bought a smaller one this year and like it more. I tried the sit drag in my basement and decided I wanted a little more features and comfort. I've been spoiled by my guidos web for too many years and wanted more support than the sit drag could offer.

I wanted an adjustable bridge so that if I use the SRT technique to climb up, I can cinch the bridge tight and keep my ascender tight to my hips. Alternatively, when rapelling, I can cinch the bridge up to keep my figure 8 or grigri close.
