Being from Texas, I’m amazed there’s people out there without snake boots :)

The snakes are frozen come season up here lol. I remember the first time I hunted GA and seeing snake tracks in the dirt road going in the first evening. Freaked me out! Haha

I don't wear snake boots. Only knee high rubber boots. Believe it or not, I've only seen a few snakes down here. They're here for sure, but I don't see many. However, I suspect with warm weather, we will be seeing some.

About the only thing the hog is good for is keeping the snake population down. I have seen a few water moccasins out already here around the house.

I remember. I actually changed a couple of scopes around it may take a min to get them I would like to get them on before hand. If Ernie borrows my 22 mag he will need to check zero also

@ImThere, should I bring ammo, or do you have some I can pay for?

I’m not worried about it a whole box is like $13 at Walmart. Don’t sweat it.
I will have a few guns you can choose from.
22/250, 22 mag, 17 wsm, 12 ga slug you can shoot one or all I don’t care. Lol

Am I the only one that has no idea what a "king cake" is? A really big delicious cake?

It's a New Orleans thing. They usually quit making them after Mardi Gras which is Tuesday but I'm having two made to be picked up Wednesday evening before I head out. Just thought it would be something for a lot of guys that have never experienced anything to do with Mardi Gras. Besides G2 said there's going to be lots of good food I figured we need some dessert to go with that!

I love it. I've been to three Mardi gras and 5 jazz fests in my single days. I'm a huge fan. In fact for my grooms dinner I flew in a bunch of crawfish for a boil.....

What’s your range with that?

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
At the range on a bipod, I was about 60% on a 10" disk at 100 yards. In real use it's no longer than I can shoot with my bow. 30-40 yards max. The gun is more accurate than I am. I got new ammo for this weekend so I'll try them out on Wednesday and report back.

I have a power outlet in the bed of my tacoma also. I have a couple batteries that have usb ports to plug cell phones in. Have a goal zero solar panel also to charge the battery packs while hunting. I can seat 2 in my kayak if someone wants to ride along in the kayak.
My cargo trailer is 8.5x5x5.5 will it be an issue for it to be parked with my pickup in the area we are camping?

How is the signal out there? Are we going to be able to keep the rest of saddlehunter updated?

Anyone interested in buying a dozen of Gold Tip Pro Hunter shafts? 400 spine. 27.5" carbon to carbon... If so I'll bring them. If not, I'm not gonna worry about packing them. $90 and they're yours
