What do you guys recommend for a small diameter tree for a platform? I'm talking 6-8 in. I put some sticks in a tree that at 20ish feet forks. Both sides of fork are about 6-8 in. And my feet are just above the split. Screw ins are an option as I'm on private land w this set up. Will the Ernie work on this size? Ideally I'm thinking Ernie and 2 or 3 screw ins????

I've got my Ernie's platform on a 8" wooden post in my basement and it seems to hold fine but if I could use screw in steps I would preset it.

On a tree that size, you will absolutely NOT need the screw-ins + platform. Just use one or the other.

If you use the platform, that will be more than enough to shoot 360.

even when i use the XOP platform, I like to have 2 steps on my strong side of the tree for circling around.

Agree but if I can use screw in's I would prest it with them and no platform.
