i asked a while back how guys carried a sidearm while in the saddle. I found these on line and ordered one for my SW Airweight. This one is made of ballistic nylon with a suede type lining inside that is form fitted for the gun. It measures 4 3/4” wide x 6 3/4” long x 1 5/8” thick. The frame is black adonized aluminum that runs along the perimeter and encompasses the entire back. The frame can only be seen on the inside of the holster when the flap is open on the top edges and do not contact the gun. There are 2 very strong magnets that hold the flap down. I put the gun in and shook it around to see how the flap will hold. I had to turn it upside down and violently shake it before it broke loose. I ordered this with belt clips to see if it would fit on the molle loops on my Kestrel. I did not put it on because I am not sure where I want it yet but the clips lined up with the loops and are narrow enough that they do not need trimmed. It’s not perfect but if you are like me and prefer to carry OWB it is an option.

It is very well made and feel it will handle hunting abuse for a few years. I paid a little over $50 with shipping. It can be had in leather for a little more and camo for a little less. Sizes will vary depending on the firearm you carry.

Attaching it to your molle loops is a good idea. Never a bad thing to armed in the woods.
