I am kidding but not kidding… I would love to see someone mod this into a saddle. It’s ‘basically’ a jx3. I’ve spent enough money on dumb ideas like this. I’ll let someone else try :)

PS. I have no idea how costco can sell this for $50 and make money.

Without having it in front of me, it looks like you could pair it with an RCH and run it as-is. I don't think I'd trust any part of that for life support. But if you're interested in sending me one - as I have neither a Costco membership nor a store within driving distance - I'd be happy to see what I could come up with...

I sat in one the other day, they are extremely comfy

Those things are ridiculously comfortable. I’ve never fallen asleep in the tree, it would be all over but the crying in that thing!

Agreed. You would want to run it with a RCH and I don’t think you’d have to change much besides adding a bridge. I’m not sure how well you’d be able to pivot in it though. Also not sure how it would pack up.

Looks easy enough to modify....just gonna have to have some sort of spreader bar or that'll give a whole new meaning to "hip pinch" as it swallows u up

I have one. Never even thought to try and use it with a RCH in the tree...
Let us know if you try it! I was at Costco the other day and I’m not sure how feasible it is. I think it would take some major mods to be able to keep the chair from enveloping you.

Guys that thing has a metal frame that’s holding the outer (bridge loops) open, if you unattached it and attached a bridge to it, it would pull in similar to a normal saddle. The bars on each side would essentially function the same as the hip pinch reduction thing TX5 is using but on a whole different level. You could add a RCH or normal saddle to this on its own tether with no tension then make a modified tree squeeze to attach the chair/bridge to. That way the chair stays open instead of squeezing inward. I believe you could do a cheap simple diy mod to that chair and have it ready to sit in the tree for less than $120 ($50 chair price included)

Could you post a picture of what a 'tree squeeze' is? Your rationale is similar to what I was thinking but I don't know what a tree squeeze is. Maybe thats the missing link.

its similar to an extra lineman’s rope or strap you run around the tree but with connection points. You’dwrap it around but hook the bridge through it. It would act similar to a swing set by keeping the chair or saddle from pulling inward keeping it closer to inline or straight outward of your hips. You could add a couple delta links to your lineman’s rope and make one.

for guys that have issues with the hip squeeze or pinching of other saddles while leaning, this will also greatly reduce that pressure on your hips from pretty much any saddle. I showed guys this at our meet up with one that I am currently making (to sell here soon)… it helped guys that lean become even more comfortable… if you wanna sit in it though, you’ll need a bridge that is over 40” long.

About 18 months after one of you post your mod for this expect the “Chair Force 1” to be released from tethrd. (Joking. Sorta)
