Spur climbing help

Loose pants legs bunched up, like your picture shows, can cause a lot of pain. Make sure that your pants legs are smooth where the pads rest on them. And, just like you have to get in "saddle shape" you also have to get in "spur" shape. Takes a few climbs to get use to the pressure.

Also, I’ve got to say... those pads look brutal regardless.

Those off-set Klein's are just about cutout proof. Here's a guide for sharpening.

Seem like the pad and stem is to far forward on your leg especially on your left leg. The pads should be more toward the inside of your thigh that way when you put weight on them the stem kicks toward the back of your calf not into it. Try loosing them up might feel weird at first but they should settle more toward where there supposed to be.

You nailed it. They were too tight and in the wrong position. Its like a night and day difference. Thanks.

This may be a dumb question but is it possible to wear rubber boots and use spurs ?
