I'm just wondering if its possible to tell the difference between a B50 dacron string and a fast flight string?
I suspect that you can't determine what it is by just looking at them, but I thought I'd ask. Most of my limbs are not FF friendly, but I do have one set that will take FF. I just want to make sure I don't put a FF string that I have laying around on the wrong bow limbs.

This video includes a stretch measurement exercise which you could use to figure out whether the string is FF or B-50, If you have the equipment to replicate it.

Thanks for the link.
I was hoping (but didn't really expect) that there would be a simpler way to scrutinize the FF from the B50.
Btw, what is the difference between a B50 and a B55?

B50 strand is really thicker than one made of polyethylene fibers (FF familly)
you can measure the stretching under 100# , B50 will stretch more than 10% , FF will stay under 5% (as stated in the video)

Tom, what LeTuB said. The Dacron is thicker than Fast Flite. If you have two strings about the same overall diameter, the Fast Flite will have more strands to make it close to the same diameter as the Dacron.

Thanks guys for the suggestions and for the link.
I asked the question and assumed the answer was not gonna be what I was hoping for. I hoped there was some easy trick to determine the difference. The tips you guys gave may be true but they are not the answers that I was hoping for...nothing against you advice, but I fantasized there was a way of looking at the fibers and seeing the difference.
No big deal, I will label all the FF strings I buy. I won't mistakenly put FF on the wrong limbs.
Just thought I would ask.
