Found what appears to be some nice suspenders from Backwoods Mobile Gear. I have little gut and zero hips so I struggle to keep my saddle in place while hiking to my hunting location. This will allow me more clips on my Molly to hang essentials.

I bought this from CGM and can’t even imagine not having them!

I’ve got a Marsupial Gear modular belt with harness. I ought to try rigging that harness up to the saddle. Can post the result here

Got it to work, not exactly the most elegant but I think it would work out fine.

I have a Latitude Classic which has just one row of PALS at the top for attachment. The Marsupial Gear harness has gatekeeper buckles sewn on, and they would normally go through a small sewn loop on the top of the belt. The Classic doesn’t have any loops like that but I could thread the buckle through the PALS kinda like how Kifaru pockets attach. It feels pretty secure but I just tested quickly at home this morning.
For more security I could also double the gatekeeper back and secure it on the webbing.

Might try sewing some loops in the future. The harness taking the weight is really nice. Gonna test it out in the woods in the next week or 2.

I ended up not being a huge fan of the Marsupial Gear harness as saddle suspenders on my hunt over the weekend. It felt like too much, I wanted to wear it under some layers but it felt weird sandwiched between layers. I also realized my saddle is not really that heavy and I don’t have issues with it slipping, so the suspenders just felt unnecessary.

Love that tool belt hanger! I haven’t gon the suspenders route yet, But I wear a backpack and always bring my bridge up high, then clip the chest or upper backpack strap through it. It’s always worked well for me.

Finally received my suspenders from Backwoods Mobile Gear yesterday minus their sewn patch. Claim they run out. They offer you the option of sending it back at a later date (at your expense) and they will finish the suspenders with their logo patch. I thought that kinda sucked. Maybe I’m being petty, however, I expect a finished product.
The suspenders appear to be very good quality, however, the molly clips are designed to clip into a horizontally sewn loop and the clips are designed for a vertically sewn loop. I currently have it on my TX 5 Lone Star 2.0.
I actually purchased it to use with my heavier Aero Hunter Kestrel. It might work better with it. I’ll follow later with more use.

I guess it depends on how peculiar you are. I like my gear to not only perform flawlessly but like it to look good as well. I don’t like to DIY to make it work.

I didn’t think I’d like the suspenders on the lockdown saddle but I like them a lot. I ordered a regular set from tethrd for my CGM cobra. They’re ok, but not nearly as good as the ones on the lockdown.

I have a set of suspenders shipping out today from CGM. I’m thinking they’re going to a lot better than the regular suspenders from tethrd.

Just wanted to follow up on my CGM suspenders. They came in today and they’re better than the ones that come on the Lockdown. Very well made, as is everything from CGM. I used to think suspenders were crazy, but I won’t ever have a saddle without a set now. Big comfort difference especially when you’re carrying 40ft of rope and everything else.

Ok…..add a harness to the new gear for 2024 thread, for me. Hooking my bridge to my pack strap helps some, but it is an area of improvement for my setup. Im Bout to get One. Just saw a video from @careyhamil and will probably get the Amazon harness.

I saw these mentioned on here and they seemed like they would be perfect and they are. Minimalistic and I can put layers under and over them and you don't even know you're wearing them.
That was me and you're exactly right. They work great and I can attach them anywhere on my saddle I want.
For the front attachment, I like them - in the front.
On my saddle, there aren't any molle attachment points where I want the front attachments.
See pics for my solution to getting them to stay where I want them to stay. Works great.
Those are Molly specific elastic loops through some kind of wooden button wrapped around the front belt part of my XC Cruzr.
Simple elastic would have worked as well. I just had them left over from another project.
Both bought off amazon.

The only problem I've had with suspenders in any situation? When you layer stuff over them, you need to take those layers off to take a crap.

bowel movements are the bane of every piece of gear, I'm afraid

Agreed. But especially so when you have layers of clothing over suspenders.

Same issue with a body harness if you're like me and put it on before leaving the truck. Sometimes with layers on over it.
