This season has turned out to be a good one. (Not counting my elk season of course ) Got one picture of this buck on 09/15/2022, then he disappeared. Reappeared again on 10/27 middle of the night, then gone again until 11/18 mid day. Got daily pics of him in daylight after that until I snuck into my preset saddle tree Thanksgiving morning over an hour before daylight. All was quiet til first light. A few minutes after that I turned to my left and he was just standing in my roadbed food plot at 35 yards. I dont know how they just appear like that. Slowly got my bow off its hangar. Its Gun season in South Carolina, but I only bowhunt this property. He stood like a statue for nearly 5 mins, then walked back into the trees parallel to the road bed. He FINALLY decided all was good and worked his way back out and stopped broadside at 25 yards. I made a good double lung shot and sent a Ramcat thru him. Watched him drop within 45 yards. My best South Carolina buck to date, and on my own property too. Its not often I can target a specific deer and actually kill him. Was a great kickoff to a great Thanksgiving! Buck has 20.5" Spread and 21" main beams. This was my first sit using the Mini Seeker platform. Worked out great!
