Trying to find a ropeman1...

MEC only has 1, and it's 57 bucks, plus shipping. I think I would wait. I think wesspur will have them available in April.

It depends what rope you are using. If you are using a rope with a soft supple sheath, the 1 is better. If the rope has a stiff hard outer sheath either one will work. The 2 has an aggressive tooth design which really catches the individual strands of the sheath on the softer stuff.

Does anyone know where I can find a ropeman1 that is currently available? I can find them that are 3 weeks out but none that are available now. Wanted to see if I could find one and get it by this weekend. I find them for $34 or $36.

Backcountry.com has an eta of 3 weeks ... im waiting too

I just ordered one. Says in stock and arrives in 6-10 days.

I got mine yesterday and got in a tree today. I love it. So much better than the Blake's hitch that came on my Aero hunter.

Used the stepp ladder to get up in a tree today, gets easier and easier. I used hiking boots instead of work boots and found it much easier. I also got to check out all the hype of the ropeman1. I gotta admit it is much smoother and easier to work with than the prusik knot. I also used the overcenter buckle for the steps. Also was so much tighter than the rachet. So overall a great day with my new additions.

Now I have a few months to figure out how to comfortably and efficiently carry everything
