TX5 Lonestar Sizing

I have a medium Lonestar that I’m having trouble getting comfortable in. The HPR panels that are supposed to reduce hip pinch seem to create a lot of bulk in the saddle that sits right on the point of my hip bones, the result is ironically more hip pinch than I’ve felt in other saddles. A large might be better but from talking to TX5 I should be a medium at 6’ 185 lbs 33” jeans. Anyone else experience this? Would ordering a large and waiting another 6 weeks for a large help? Any ideas on how to mitigate this? I love everything else about the saddle. I’ve been through 5 saddles now trying to get comfortable for long sits and I’m starting to think it may just not be for me.

I’m roughly your size and should be getting mine soon. I did have a large when they first released the Lonestar. It swallowed me. Thought I would try a medium. I ordered a pleated mesh style this time around.

Thats what I was afraid of with the large, the specs on the website just seemed too big for me. I appreciate your input.

I got a size up. Mainly for cold weather clothing, No hip pinch.

Just ordered a Rayder in large. I do wear 35" jeans.

Larger started at 35" and I, like above, thought about heavier cloths when it got cold out....be a few weeks before I get.

I'm 6' 3" 165lbs and have the medium stretch cordura Lonestar. I bought it second hand on this forum and at first didn't have great comfort. I noticed the hpr inserts were "bent" to fit the previous owners body. I contacted Matt at TX5 and he sent me two pairs of inserts at only the cost of shipping. These new hpr inserts were thicker which helped a lot. I also started sitting favoring my right side and that helped too, meaning I sat while leaning more on my right butt cheek.
