Using a Prussic for Climbing Sticks?

Wait a minute.....he didn't pull the bottom of the stick out before setting it....why aren't his standoffs bending?.......

Carry on....hehehehe

Seriously....with a prusik attachment like u guys are talking about the stick slides down the trunk a good bit before the thing fully seats against the trunk so that is something to keep in the back of ur mind
 
Go experiment urself ......regular "rope mod" attachment vs timber hitch vs prusik. Strap was the reference mark on the trunk....rope mod and timber hitch are about a tie with the nod going more toward rope mod...prusik had the most drop and was hardest to get undone

What am I missing about the rope mod? This it's a spliced eye on one side, and what's the fastening method on the other? Ie What's the knot?
