I never have used a saddle in a traditional hang on gun stand. Would you just loosen your tether and turn around to sit when you need to sit? It’s gun season opener this Saturday. Bow hunted with saddle but first time gunning.

The SH Membership has gone live. Only SH Members have access to post in the classifieds. All members can view the classifieds. Using saddle in a gun stand.

Personally I think I'd be more comfortable sitting in my saddle and using the seat of the stand as my platform or footrest. Maybe put a ROS on it as well. Granted I'm mostly using ladder stands of indeterminate age and condition.
When you loop it over your shoulder it still needs to be snug. Just a recommendation.
