I’m a new saddle user. I have the cruzr saddle but am trying to figure out what platform to get. Im thinking about either the cruzr seeker or the predator XL. WhIch of those is best or are there any others I should be looking into also?

I have both the seeker and predator xl and both are great platforms. The seeker is a little more comfortable, but the predator seems to a little more solid on the tree. Can’t go wrong with either one

I have the regular predator and have no desire to switch platforms. That being said, I've heard many people recommend the edp

Look into a ROS too. It’s another option and will help you get around the tree much further. I just have a hawk platform and it works fine, locks down rock solid with a cam buckle strap…yeah look at those too. I added two steps to my strap and I’ll always have them on there….I like a full size platform over just a ROS, but wouldn’t hesitate to sit for hours with just a ROS.
SO MANY OPTIONS….roll a pair of dice maybe to get started!

I bought the EDP and thought it would be to small, and considered the Mission. I am very happy with the EDP. There is plenty of room and shootable angles to post off. The platform bites into the tree and does not move! For the size and how easy it is to pack, it is a hard one to beat.

I love my XOP! I can jump on it sideways and it doesn’t budge. A little heavy but it’s all I carry. My trees are all preset. 90% of the time
I just got my XOP over the winter and I'm looking forward to experimenting with it this year. And 1-sticking, and ROS. I'm encouraged by your endorsement!

If you don't mind spending a little more, the LWCG ambush had been great for me for the last 2 years, a little more room than most platforms and makes a longer sit more comfortable

Another vote for xop. A little heavier than most but has a higher weight rating. I no stick with mine.

Little late to the party but here’s my 2 cents…

Bought the Predator XL last year thinking I would want extra foot room. Immediately offloaded that for the standard Predator and was much happier. Ended up winning an EDP halfway through the season and used it a handful of times but I’m still not sold on it and found myself going back to the Predator.

Checked out the Seeker at a show a few weeks ago and it was alright. Didn’t like how far off the tree they say you should be to take advantage of the slanted front. Also way too big but they’re coming out with a Seeker Mini (I think that’s the name?) at some point in the near future so there’s that.

Luckily all of this stuff holds it’s value really well so it shouldn’t be too much of a burden to buy one and offload it if you don’t like it.

Good luck!

predator XL user here. Very happy with it--solid on every tree I've put it on and like the ability to move around on it a bit for shooting angles and long sit comfort

I wear a size 13 boot and in the cold it’s more like a 14 . This is my first year saddle hunting , I tried my friends predator and loved it with shoes on but when I thought about it my boots are triple the size . So I went with the predator xl I love it

A month ago I went to a hunting show in Columbus Ohio and had no intentions of buying anything until I spent a few minutes in a Cruzr saddle on the Seeker platform and took both home. The angled edge is money on the feet.
