Which knee pads? Tree pad instead?

Hello again. Newbie asking more questions. I know from reading here that i will need to look at padding my knees somehow when hanging. What seems to be the preferred method? Knee pads or tree pads? What pads are you folks using and are you happy with them? Basically I am looking for recommendations. As always, thanks for the feedback.
 
I use volleyball knee pads light and flexible i don't even know i have them on most days. I always wear them even if I'm not hanging. Its nice to kneel down and not have wet knees for the next couple of hours
 
I will never enter the woods to hunt without knee pads.
 
I have a pair of Trophyline knee pads and they work perfect. Very light and comfortable

I went on-line at Home Depot and ordered a pair of camo knee pads and they sent them to the store by me and I picked them up . They weren't expensive and free shipping to the store. Check them out.
 
I use to hate my knee pads. That all changed when I bought these. Pricey but they are light, comfortable, compact, and have a hunter friendly attachment system. Money well spent.

Check out "soft knees" inserts. They are used with work pants(Carhartt and ****ies) that have pockets sewn in knees. Can't forget them, can't drop them, always where I want them and no strap digging into the back of my knee. I had Grey Wolf Linnens make me a pair of uninsulated camo pants with knee pad insert pockets.

I am using my mountain biking soft shell pads. Light, work great, and technically free because I already had them :)

It is amazing what I have been recycling for use for saddle hunting. Knee pads, random webbing, little bags, buckles, carabiners from rock climbing with the kids, etc. Gonna have to take some pics when it is all assembled.

I use 2 different things for knee comfort.
1) cushion that I strap to the tree, Cheap and light
2) a bow case that can be strapped to the tree and in the middle of the case is a cushion that is made to lean against will in a regular stand, but I place my knees on the padding. The case also has storage for everything you need (or think u need) for a days hunt
Can't remember the name of the bow case but the the guys on "Major League Bowhunter" TV show uses them.

Gameplan gear? I think they recently went out of business.
 
Arcteryx= so nice.
Not cheap, but fit well and don't creep up and down the leg even while walking a long distance. Cushioning is in the right place and they are so light. If I lost mine, I'd suck up the steep price of admission and buy them again.
