My hunting buddy and I both drew general elk tags in Wyoming. We're starting to make plans for a backpack hunt in the Bridger Teton Forest. We'll have to see how well our 64 year old bodies hold up to the stress.
I know I won't be able to keep up the younger me that used to cover a lot of rugged country per day. Still, going slower can have its advantages. Packing meat will be the big question.
At any rate I'm looking forward to it.
Anybody else got an elk tag to fill?
