X2 Pack as a seat?

Just grabbed an Eberlestock X2 on clearance, great pack! I think I'm gonna like this thing.

Only thing I can't figure out is that the descriptions mention something about how the frame folds down to become a seat. I have seen no images or videos demonstrating this, and maybe I'm just dumb, but I can't figure it out. I could see just sitting on the ground and leaning back against the frame as sort of a "seat", but the description literally says "the ample FlexChassis™ folds down and acts as comfortable seat" and I can find nothing that folds.

Any other X2 pack owners out there that can shed some light on this? Am I just missing something here?

Unless the design has radically changed in the last four years (possible, but I doubt it), the frame is not involved in the "seat" and it's not that comfortable.

This is what I believe they are referring to: Unbuckle the two straps that hold the lid down, fold the now-loose lower "flap" attached to those straps and use it as a ground cloth to keep your butt dry on wet ground. At least, that's the way they advertised it back when I bought mine.

Yeah, can confirm. I reached out to Eberlestock about this and it's the buttflap indeed!
Now I find myself thinking of ways to tie that back to the frame so you can actually lean on it a bit...

But that'd be for another day.

You really can’t sit on the ground wearing it either because of the frame shape. It’s had me thinking about taking one of those ridiculous couch-cushion style seats XOP uses and making it a flip up cushion so I have the clearance to sit. That or some kind of flip out extension so I could turn it around and use it as a seat with a backrest.
I’ve got other packs that make more sense for most of my hunts. Love it for long hike in backcountry hunts, I think it’s crazy comfortable and love the modularity.
