Looking for suggestions on an XL platform. Currently have the hawk apex platform. It works well for public deep in because it is small but I am looking for a larger one for some of my all day sits. Thanks for any advise

Thanks. How is the weight? Can you get good grip when standing on the side and trying for a good weak side shot?

Have the XOP and just picked up the XL , and I love it ! Very stable , easier to stand with big boots and makes shooting weak side a breeze. And I think it actually lighter than the XOP. Im happy with it!

Predator XL. No complaints but haven't used anything else. Seems great with side pressure; no sure how weight compares to others.

Predator Xl. I wear a size 12 boot and for 20 dollars more is worth going with the XL, over the standard size by tethrd

I’ve been swapping predator XL and ridgerunner this season, and will probably hold onto the XL….it fits barely (tightly) into the large pocket of my good, cheap, but loud tactical pack, but is a little loud getting out at base of tree.

It packs much thinner than others, and I use a nite ize to hang from my linesman and use 2 hands to quickly and quietly lock it in at height. It seems to lock in better than the RR for me.

First task this off-season will probably be to figure out if I can move back to my much quieter little bear pack and get the XL and 3 heliums lashed to it somehow that is sturdy and not floppy. Any tips from anyone how to do that I’m all ears…the XL seems luxurious for my 13s, so I am toying with downsizing to predator regular.

I used the Predator XL this season for some lottery public hunts and liked it a lot. It was a bit of a challenge finding how I would get it in my bag, but I could fit in in the main pocket. I ended up putting it on the outside to limit noise when setting up.

predator xl has been rock solid for me. Smooth bark, rough bark, big trees, ones probably smaller than I ought to be in. I'm a big guy at 6'5", size 13 boots--locks in tight, simple set up and I like being able to adjust the angle very easily on the leveling knob.

Why aren't the ooal XL ridge runners more popular?

1. No celebrity / endorsement / advertising
2. Doesn't use the post and bracket attachment system treestand hunters are used to

The platform itself isn't lacking.

I’m looking into the same thing. I like the idea of the predator xl pack and being able to use it as an expansion to my current pack by putting stuff between the two. I also run four sticks. I’m thinking two on each side with predator pack in the middle.
