XOP Platform kits?

Ernie-

Thanks for the kit, its awesome! Like a ding ding I accidently pulled the whoopie sling apart while playing with my new toy. Do you have link to the one you send with the kit so I can buy another one or two incase I do that again. Thanks.

I actually splice that up myself. I have a couple ideas for you. I sent you a PM.

Are you guys finding that you can shoot 360° around the tree with just the platform or do you have to use additional steps as well?
I really like to add 2 steps on my strong side. At 12 and 3 o'clock. (I'm a lefty). I have used ameristeps for this, but I am going to try some Cranford steps this year or possibly bolts

No, not without adding more steps. Practically walking the tree to make a shot on the off or blind side is difficult if not almost impossible to pull off successfully. I have practiced but there are serious challenges... having enough tree strap to make that walk, hoping the strap is not in the way, or even if you can achieve proper bow form to make an ethical shot. But doing it with a rifle is significantly easier because of the lower profile of the gun.

I am also lefty and I am very similar, I have been putting a Jim Stepp at 11 and 2 oclock. This has given me the opportunity to shoot 360. I move the tqargets each time I climb and shoot. Some shots are easier than others but all are possible.

Ernie, hey I'd like the same PM on how to get one of your kits. Thanks!

Do these platforms slide with side pressure or are they pretty secure?

Not pretty secure but super secure. Once you cam it over and it's correctly done, the thing doesn't move!

Will these kits work with the new XOP seats?
I'm not sure yet. I have a new seat on order to verify. I may have to move the plate under the adjustment screw up. So the short term answer is maybe, the long term answer is yes, I may just have to change some measurements. I should have answers this week.

Sounds good I'll keep an eye out for the update. Thanks

I'm 240# in the raw, add accessories and I'm 250# I'd imagine. What are you "Plus Size" guys finding with this set up, satisfied?

I'm 235-ish on a good day. Platform seems super solid for me. I much prefer to use it with a cam buckle though.

#210 and platform seems super solid so far. I use the longer piece of included rope and the stepp knot. Takes some practice, but when it cams over right, it just locks right in.
