What are you doing with your pistol?

I make my own kydex holsters and have a couple different styles. I’ve got one that I can attach to the MOLLE on my pack that’s handy. However, I typically carry it AIWB walking in and then put it holster-and-all in the front pocket of my pack where it stays til the walk out

Friend of mine was charged by a pack of wild dogs in southern Kansas in a prairie in the middle of nowhere while coyote hunting. He is convinced he would have died if he wouldn't have had a rifle. He shot the first 3 that convinced the other 4 to turn and run.

My sig is in De Santis pocket holster in the cargo pocket of my hunting pants

My sig is carried on my belt then removed and places in my pack while hunting.

Both Badlands packs I have are made to carry either side. Very comfortable

I actually wear my beretta 92fs on my back hip attached to my belt. It keeps my saddle right under my belt and the saddle doesn't ride up.

I’ve got a Mystery Ranch bino harness with their pistol holster attached to the bottom of it. I don’t go anywhere without a pistol- except my kids school

On my hip until I'm at my tree than in my bag. Safariland retention holster with paddle.

Hill People Gear Kit Bag would fit the job nicely. I have the Runners kit bag and it holds a Glock, TQ, wallet, keys, and phone perfectly when I’m doing anything low vis and don’t want my gun on my waist.

I carry my glock tucked into top of my snake boots. Works pretty good in a pocket holster.

Appendix carry .45 xds in a Phalanx holster. Since it doesn't interfere with the saddle it stays there entire hunt and is readily accessible.

I also use a Hill People gear recon kit bag, and I love the thing. I've run with it, backpacked with it, and it's perfect to wear in the river with waders fishing. G19 for me, but it will fit a pretty big pistol.

I treat my CCW like I do a condom. Better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it. With as little as it weighs its worth packing.

With that said, I pack it in/on the back side of my Bino/ range finder chest harness from Badlands. Fingers crossed I never have a need to actually use it.

Had Mike Isbell (imike267, I think) take my old ALS and fab a strap for it. Don't have it yet, but his price was waaay under the commercial price!!

Yep, Heavy Recon kit bag here and it easily fits my Glock 20 with 6" barrel.

Appendix carry in my pants when I carry in the woods. I’m lucky that I hunt two parcels of private land and I’ve had ladders and cameras up for years and nothing has ever been touched. My wife thinks and wants me to carry 100% of the time because I’m usually by myself and we have a lot of bears (like my 9mm or .38 +p would help if a bear really decided to eat me)...
I do carry 95% of the time in the real world, though.

I carry iwb about 4 o’clock. Wasn’t too bad in the saddle. Kinda been thinking about wearing the drop leg holster..... since I do have on some sort of pack and all.

I’m looking for a way to carry my 10mm, mainly during gun season, because I would love to take a deer with it.

The one time I’ve taken it so far I carried it in my pack and just placed it so I could reach it in the event one came close.
