Congrats on the doe!
I should be able to get us at least 5 pts from the backyard. My property doesnt really hold deer but the meander through. Only big bucks is really cruising during the rut so I'm holding out. All nocturnal outside of that. Mocks scrapes is where it's at though, pretty confident in just setting up on that to knock one down.still waiting for my first sit too. I may just pop in a tree in the back of the house - I have a scrape and a few rubs right in my backyard - my main are is in VA 3 hours away though
Where you at in Ohio?ugh yea looks like a couple hot days in Ohio for me. Oh well, It is a marathon not a sprint and there will be better days ahead! Enjoy yourselves!

I'm in Medina countyBelmont County
Nice...I live in Central PA. My Dad bought a farm in Belmont County 11 years ago. We had been hunting the area for ten years or so prior to that. It is in the short, benched steep stuff w/ most crop fields up on the ridge tops. It takes some extra work/sweat to hunt those hills and the winds can be frustrating but plenty of areas for them to get left alone and grow up! I've also hunted some with my father in law a bit west and north of Zanesville, a little closer to you and completely different terrain. I have a few weeks devoted to the rut there this year, but get out as much as possible for weekenders, as it is only about a 4 hr drive for me. I love the long season in Ohio! The late season can be the best time out there, if you have the food. We have about 8 total acres of plots spread on 2 properties including soybeans, clover, chickory, & other brassicas. We tagged out early last year but had a good number of shooters on camera move in on the food during the late season. Just to throw it out there, if times get hard for anybody on the team and we get into the late season, reach out and i could prob put you up a few days and put you on something, just a hand up not a hand out...cont be giving away my honey holes thoughI'm in Medina county

I was going to say the same thing last evening...we had a good week! Just another Sunday No Fun Day for us PA hunters. Still trying to figure out why i can drink, gamble and go to a strip club on a Sunday if i want in this state, but I cant go hunting...Ridiculous! I got a bunch of Jerky prepped and in marinade though, so all is good!Good deer guys! Rackenem up! I actually made it out today but wind wasnt slowing down like I thought it was supposed to. 13-20 mph. Did some scouting but never sat. Getting out in the dark with a bunch of widow makers squeakin changed my mind. Just tried to take advantage of an open afternoon.

All kinds of points walking around my backyard. Little 8 pt. Maybe I need to look a little closer and quit driving to public land. And remove the screens on my windows
