Team 7 2019 thread

Great job guys. Haven’t had much luck getting into any more public bucks yet. Have ran cameras on my family farm and starting to get a few night pictures. We have a lot of resident does so I’m hoping come rut the action will pick up

No thanks to me so far, but you guys have us in the lead now, good job! I will be getting in the woods more starting on Oct 30th through Dec, so will get my points in then. Everything is about 2-3 weeks behind normal here due to weather anyway.

I haven't forgotten about us. I have been taking my wife and 3 daughters, one at a time. So far my 13 year old got her first doe during youth shotgun. I am dying to get out there alone. I will have to get selfish in a week or so.

Well, I went out this evening with our temps falling and the bucks were playful. Had two sparring only 50 yds from me, on the other side of a small white pine thicket 15 minutes before too dark to shoot. There was not enough time to climb down and make a move on them. They were still going at it when I walked away from the tree.

I saw nothing last night. I'm heading out for this evening and have all day tomorrow to hunt. Now come on bucks!

That was my last 5 hunts lol
We just had a week long early muzzle loader season, it pushes all deer into hiding. It makes it very difficult to see deer. I usually get a few blank sits in a row. Think my last 2 sits were deerless. The worst I had was like 7-8 sits with out seeing a deer. It definitely sucks!

deerless sit this morning. And my daughter is home sick from kindergarten today. No evening sit. Getting out tomorrow and ready to pinch anything within range. Good luck fellas. Hunt safe

Also something to remember is you can enter 2 does for the contest. Then when you shoot a buck, you can upgrade one of the does for your buck.

I have only spotted 4 does so far and 12 bucks, and the does were on the first hunt. Can't buy a doe lately. No shooters yet, although the two fighters were not fork horns for sure. I will go back after them on Friday when the front passes and the temps fall again. Sweating in shorts and tshirt here again.

I have frozen my butt off. I have wimped out and not gone because I knew that I couldn't stay warm. I bit the bullet yesterday, my scentlok fortress came in today. Maybe I can put that foolishness behind me now.

I'll be heading back to pa next weekend trying for another buck of some kind. Our gun season opens the 16th so I'll have another tag in ny in my pocket. Time to start putting them down!

Final night of archery up in the north country. Been a frustrating year so far with only 1 doe sighting. Hard not to be discouraged as we head towards gun season. Maybe tonight's the night! Better late than never!

Windy out here!

Sitting in a white oak now. Rain blew out last night and turned cold. We saw 9 deer from the truck on the way to bfast this morning, hoping to get us 5 pts tonight. First real hunt from the Ridge Runner.
