That’s what makes it fun. I missed one, bounced an arrow off a shoulder then killed two in one sit. Was that another miss with the mini?

Yep. 40 yard shot. I didn't pause to consider that I'd been sitting in the rain for an hour, and that my bowstring and arrow were soaked...

What's really sickening is that if I'd have stayed in the tree I was in for the morning sit, I'd have had umpteen-million 10-20 yard chip shots at her.
 
You’re just trying to extinguish the claims that hunting with a crossbow isn’t a challenge. Keep at it and it’ll come together.
 
I pulled pics from a trail camera yesterday morning when I hunted. Have pics of a mature 8 pt using the area every few days.

We had heavy rain and wind all night that is clearing out now. Forecast says the wind is switching and will be perfect for that spot at 1pm. Planning on being there then until dark. Fingers crossed.
 
I went for a bit in one of my rut spots. It doesn't get good til the first and second week of November. I just wanted some intel before then, seen 2 does but no shot. Gonna go somewhere this evening, maybe a piece of public about an hour and half away, but we'll see

My bucks always suffer from ground shrinkage. That’s the second I’ve seen this week that grew horns after the shot. It would really suck in a state that only allowed one buck.
 
@EricS I forgot to ask. Did you shoot your two deer with your recurve? You mentioned they were your first archery saddle deer but didn't see if they were with your trad bow.

Sorry but you're not on our team member list. I also looked and didnt see you on any of the teams in the team list. Signup was in September, you had to sign up for the contest and then they randomly picked teams.
