Oh that's right, I'm not. I don't think I had enough messages...Are you even entered in the contest?
There actually was a new member contest entry section that you would have qualified for.Oh that's right, I'm not. I don't think I had enough messages...
I like the looks of these 2 spots. In the hills I hunt I try to key on drainages, the deer travel up and down them and even bed on knolls and points in them drainages. The hills I hunt though are alot steeper than your area though and the drainages aren't as steep compared to the hillside so it's easier travel. The drainages will have a different thermal pull and will be more concentrated and want to pool into them than the hillsides. In the morning thermals would be moving uphill. That more southern spot I circled would be a good spot I bet to catch a buck scent checking them 2 drainages if theres good doe bedding cover there. I could be wrong though lolSo, maps are relatively new to me as a scouting tool. Hoping you guys can give me a few ideas. This is part of a larger WMA that is limited entry, and this is the last weekend before I’m kicked out and the guns come in.
North is up. I’ve hunted the eastern marks and the southern. The inside corner in the middle is thick thick thick, but heavy traffic trails throughout.
Thoughts? Where are potential rut funnels that I’m missing? I’m planning to hunt here on Friday morning, coming in a little after first light.

I struggle with the same decisions with my kids. I'd say it depends on if he has any tests or presentations due. If not, he might be running a buck fever on Friday. My son and I are planning on going to camp this weekend. I could get Friday off but I am having mixed feelings on telling him to skip school so we can go a day earlier. He is a senior in high school, with two AP and two college courses. Does it make me a bad dad to talk him into skipping school?
Thanks. That southern circle is actually where I was semi-planning to go. I hadn’t noticed that northern spot though. Good eye.I like the looks of these 2 spots. How did you get the wind speed and pressure chart? Not seeing those on my wunderground app.
