Happy thanksgiving team 8! I won’t be out today but I’ve got a three day weekend to hunt! Goodluck!

I took the morning off, mostly because we had 20 mph winds but, I'll be out tomorrow with the bow and Saturday and Sunday with the rifle. Tomorrow will be my dad's first saddle hunt. He spent the last couple weeks practicing with the RCH and fleece saddle I gave him and he's going to give it a whirl tomorrow. Should be a good time.

I went this morning, that wind was killer and I didnt see a deer! I'll be back out this evening after lunch with family. Hope all of you guys have a happy Thanksgiving!
 
Well I'll have another saddle soon to hunt out of. I was just browsing around and got on trophylines website and managed to get a 20% off coupon for black friday. I'll have to compare it to my mantis and see which one I like better. I know @Nutterbuster has one, anyone else? What ya think of yours nutter? I didnt like the kestrel I've tried in the past, but that's the only other kind of saddle I've sat in.

I like mine. Prefer the pro over the ambush lite.
 
I got out this morning for my first muzzleloader hunt in quite some time. Got in deep, all settled, only to realize I failed to screw my breech plug in all the way and my primer jackets wouldn’t fit! Ended up a scouting mission.

Fixed my plug and back tied in for the afternoon.
 
This was the poorest week of hunting I believe I've ever had. Hunted 7 mornings, seen 5 deer. Hunted 9 afternoons and 23, but 10 of those was in one evening. I went and scouted some this morning and may have a buck found. I was going to go back this evening and hang a camera and let it soak but I said to heck with it, I'm burned out and tired. This coming Saturday me and 6 or 8 buddies from a different forum are going to go hit a piece of public and do some squirrel hunting, so itll be a week or two before I do anymore deer hunting. Couple of these guys are the real deal and we should kill a ton of squirrels between all of us.
