what time are folks getting there Thursday? trying to work out a work thing that would take me to charleston briefly on the way down. but can wait. and I've borrowed a muzzle loader.. but do i need a 22 or 17? one of the places i was going to hunt this year was at a friends hunt camp, but the county it's in you have to have gear like we'll be using in GA. other than a bow... i am over-geared for that. and itching to grab a new toy...

i had the same question about hogs and 22mag or 17HMR... do they do the deed? if so. i think i'll be grabbing one.. if not I'll end up spending some cash that weekend buying y'alls stuff for sale or anything that might happen to show up that a fella could buy.

I'd go with a 22 WMR over a 17, Packs a little more punch. You don't need it for this trip but I've had worse excuses for justifying gear purchases. ML will work fine and do everything you need it to. I'll be getting there Thursday morning, hopefully early

I figure I’ll blow a few hundred on a new saddle if them new schwanky tethred ones are there and for sale. I’ve already have a saddle tho. I do not have a plinker 22.... oh the choices. Ha. I’ll prolly go for the saddle as I don’t think I’ll have a hard time unloading the mantis.

And I’m not headed to work on my way down. It’s PTO for a reason, right? Pig Termination Operation?

I will be there before y'all. I am taking the whole week off and will be doing some walking before the group shows up. I am a bow hunter, but would be interested to see what everyone uses for shooting pigs. In GA, do I need to have any documentation for a long barrel? Can I borrow one from someone and bring it down?

How limited will foot traveling be if the water is up some in the WMA?

It is up a foot (10.5 to 11.5 river gauge) so I don't think it will be too impactful for walking. Looking at ARCGIS, more following the terrain than the river probably. I will defer to the locals though. It will be too hot for my waders (3X neoprene), but I will be bringing my rubber boots and also my snake gaiters. Of Course, the levels may drop by next week too.

I'm sure someone that is coming will have a LWCG Ambush, I'd like to get my hands on it just to check it out. I have yet to see one in person. If anyone would like to see/try anything I have mentioned in the forum before let me know so I am sure to bring it. There will be some stuff with me that I would be willing to sell as well, a couple packs for sure. Look forward to hanging out with everyone for a few days.

Well my mandatory work trip that got scheduled for next weekend has been cancelled so it's back on for SaddlePalooza for me.

Question for the Michigan contingent: When does the caravan from the Murder Mitt head out for the Dirty-dirty? I'm not sure if I'm leaving Wed or Thurs morning. If my hoopty breaks down somewhere along I-75 I need to know my chances of thumbing a ride the rest of the way to Darien.
If people are needing a ride I can bribe my wife to use the mini-van, too.

Is there anything I need to bring (other than snake gaiters, which I had to Google)? The chances of me spotting a pig while I'm staring at every branch on the ground to see if it's moving are slim.

@g2outdoors is there anything I can bring to help with food/drinks/etc?

Didn’t I see see a for sale trade for this deal somewhere?
