The wife made venison Pasty's tonight (a Michigan Upper Peninsula delight). It brought the age old question to mind . . . Ketchup or gravy?

Yep, it's a meat pie with cubed beef (or venison in this case), potatoes, carrots, onions and rutabaga. The Cornish miners are credited with bringing them to Michigan's Upper Peninsula. They are great plain but there's an age old argument among pasty aficionados as to whether you're supposed to eat them with gravy or ketchup.
