Latitude Outdoors Method Saddle

I like the look of these G hooks. I normally hate these they don’t stay attached. Another interesting idea, there is only one point of attachment

Removable Leg Straps – While they are a critical safety item in the tree, leg straps are a pain when your busting brush or navigating a swamp for several miles in the dark. The Method leg straps are removable and can be reattached with a snap at the base of the tree before climbing. Add in a customized G-hook design that cannot voluntarily unhook when you least expect it and the leg strap problem can now be marked resolved.

I agree! That G hook looks amazing and should be the new go-to for all manufacturers. Problem solved for sure.

Welp, had a few beers and bought a latitude saddle. Hopefully in August I can tell you my thoughts. I’ve been speaking with a company producing some sticks that might let me get a presale to review them as well! I hope it actually happens and I can give feedback on them too! :sunglasses:

Met with Alex yesterday and got to try out the Method . I was impressed with the quality of the build and the thought of certain aspects of the design. The top and bottom parts of the saddle are adjust maintain good order and work together. Very comfortable and being able to affix the 2 pieces together for walking in as well as cinching down the bridge is really nice. When I arrived home I immediately put in my order and was glad to support a local business as well as some innovative young men.

I'm looking forward to getting mine. I purchased also to support a company from Michigan where I reside... love my Wolverines. I've bought other saddles for far worse reasons.
I've been looking all over the place for the source for those leg strap buckles. I could use some extras.

If you find them please share the link! I'd be interested as well!

First impression, it came in a very nice box with a sticker. Their marketing is on point. I got the buckle version. It weighs exactly what they said it weighs. I hung in it for 30 min. It's comfortable. I need more time in it to say whether it's more comfortable than the Cruzr or Flex or Kit. First complaint ... while the leg loop clips stay on they are really hard to get off. I may replace the left and right with Tethrd G-Hooks. But I can tell this will be the most comfortable to walk in with. With the leg loops off you can't even tell it there. I plan on replacing the buckle and webbing belt with Oplux and a Blake's hitch to try it. I'm impressed.

Looks good man! Have you tried to see if you can take the gates out of the g hooks? Maybe that would make them more ideal? I personal like running the saddle without the leg loops.

Yeah, that's a good idea. I'll try taking the gates out.

I'm also very impressed upon initial trials in this saddle. Great build and material quality!
I currently have 5 other saddles and have sold many others. I loved the look of this initially and figured I would buy one for the following reasons: 1. the recon 2. I was born in Grand Rapids, MI and wanted to support these guys that are also from there.
x2 on the leg strap buckles. I was excited when I initially seen them, but I agree they are very difficult to remove. I may use them elsewhere, because I don't feel the need for the leg straps on this style saddle. I tried my dump pouches on each panel and so far have settled that the upper panel is better, but you could go either way.
The dump pouches are also great, but use a large attachment buckle that is pretty difficult to squeeze in/out of the molle loops.
Very easy to center the waist buckle - that is a great design. I will probably use the D-ring for backup - I don't see it any more user-friendly than just shortening the bridge for rappel.
I like a longer bridge, so I may be feeding a longer length of oplux through the prusik knots - but very easy to do this, then tie new stopper knots.
The bridge loops are firm and somewhat cylindrical... they work well with that prusik style bridge.
Walking in/out of the woods should be no issue for me, belt stays tight and could also adjust bridge all the way in and keep all loops tight to your body and out of the way.
I can see myself still wanting a back band... not sure yet. On long sits I will wear my backband under the arm pits and you can't really get that high of back support on this saddle or the recon.
Customer service great so far. I was only send 1 of 2 dump pouches that I ordered. I shot them an e-mail and got a response back quick and already received my other one along with a logo hat... a nice throw in.
Overall this Saddle is definitely a winner... there is a LOT I like about it. I will know more once season comes around. If anyone has questions feel free to ask via PM and I'll respond when I have time.

Try taking the gates off the 2 leg loop G-Hooks. They're much easier to get on and off.

I got my Method today and it worked wonderfully with my platform/srt with my Roperunner . Once at the top it was very adjustable and comfortable. I monkeyed around with leg loops and rather than remove them I found I could step through to enter the saddle and still fasten the lower part up for transport. Adjustable bridge work well as long as you would expect after loosening the prussic. Super light and unobtrusive to wear. Got to do some more climbing and sitting/ leaning tomorrow. So far I am very pleased and satisfied.
