Whose watching the NHL playoffs?

Go Preds!

Grew up a flyers fan, and lived in Hastings so I pulled for the wild too. I’m done with them both. Gonna pull for the southern boys next door from here on out.

Wings fan here but I love playoff hockey regardless of who's playing. It does seem to be missing something without fans in the seats though. I think the fan reaction must help with the intensity level because the 5 games or so I've watched so far all seem to be lacking a little of the normal "playoff intensity". Nevertheless, its great to be watching again.

Also another starved wings fan here. I'm watching more to see who ends up with the number 1 pick. If it's the leafs....well I would rather not think about that

I'm a Preds fan, but one of these days I'm going to wise up and stop pinning my hopes and dreams on those inconsistent chumps. Ugh...

I’m with you there. I just like watching hockey. It’s a little strange to watch hockey or baseball without fans there.

What's the best way to watch without cable? I live in Indiana and tried getting into hockey this past year, not a great year ha, but I still haven't figured out the best way to watch. I know there are some programs that are kind of a gray area to use. I jumped on the Predators bandwagon, if there is one.

So glad its back. I can generally entertain myself pretty well but I do like to unwind watching sports at night. My wife is not happy that these games start at 8:15 as I usually get static if I'm not up by 10, but such is life. Now if they get some of the matinee games, I'm probably out. That's the big reason I'm not really a football fan, who in their right minds wants to park themselves in front of a TV all day the best time of year?

If they can find their offensive groove and start dumping pucks in the net I like where this team is at. Defensively this is definitely the best team they've had since 2016.

I've only briefly tuned into a couple of the other games, and I agree if you are tuning in for general atmosphere something about hockey in August in an empty arena is missing something. But I'm always there for game 7's, nothing better in sports. Hockey has done better than the other two sports though. The tarps were a good touch, and hockey has enough game noise they don't need to pump in fake crowd background noise. And NBA as usual just looks like some kind of circus they are putting on.

I started watching the Pens when they first got in the league in 1967. I have to disagree that this is the best defense since 2016. They look very shaky at times and that's the hole team. Remember they lost 7 playoff games in a row before they won last night. They should beat the Habs I hope but I think they will have trouble in the next round against a better team.

Honestly, in my neck of the woods, not finishing the hockey season was the only real "unusual" thing about my spring... well that and killing a Turkey in a may snow storm... even though I'm watching the pens in july and august, it still brings back a sense of normalcy to my life! Family, hunting, and hockey..... my life in three words!

Ok let's say we've had the best defense since we got rid of maata.
Crosby and Malkin need to produce more, period. I dunno if that'll come from dropping sheary of the first line or not but something needs to happen... and not that Murray's play is bad right now but I think Jarry sho UK led have started, Murray's got to be better at controlling rebounds, the pucker factor is getting serious everytime the habs are on the attack....

I pay for the ESPN+ app, its not expensive but usually you have to watch the games after they air.

Break.

Colorado for the win. The Hurricanes are making toys of the Rangers right now.

Nhl.tv app is under 6 bucks for the rest of the playoff, regional blackout apply for live games if your wanting to watch live in the area of your team it wont help...

I'll look into those. None of the teams are local to me, Indiana, Nashville and St Louis are the closest markets.
