Acorns. Are you seeing them in trees yet?

Looks like we will have pretty good Alba crop in the north part of the state but havent checked reds. Down south Cow oaks are looking good but havent checked nutalls or overcups.

Western NC is loaded for the first time in 3 years. Not the best news for deer, but will help our turkeys this spring.

I haven't seen any in the oaks in our yard that I climb here in west central MN. Of course our yard is a bad indicator as we didn't get a single one last year but the woods I hunt had such a heavy mast that you could twist an ankle on them still this spring

There's a good bit up here in north west Bama from what I can see. Checked a handful of sites this past weekend. Should be a good season as long as we get a little rain.

We also had gypsy moths devastate a lot of the Oaks in various clusters in the area. Never seen it this bad before. I could stand in my yard at night when it was calm, and hear the collective "chewing" and turd balls falling like a light rain everywhere. I have several trees in my yard that look like they are 50% bare. Fortunately, it was in small clusters scattered about the area, not everywhere.

Central mo. Tree in my yard and few others I’ve found are completely loaded. Several trees I was counting on are completely bare though

Plan to go scout today here in central eastern LA today. I have seen some acorns but not very many. I have come across several but bearing trees that have been dropping early from stress of no rain and the heat.

We got hammered the last 5 years in my area in MA. They are settling down quite a bit this year, but man did they kill some trees.
