Here he is with his velvet all gone!! I think I'm going to name him DoubleDouble or DSquared because he not only had double G2's he also has double crab claw G4's!!! I say 145 ish??? What do you all think?? Here's a couple of other bucks he's hanging with right now. Like clockwork, they drop their velvet right around Labor day give or take a day or two each year!!!

Cool looking deer. Sometimes its not how big they are but how cool or unique they look that makes you think i want to shoot that one. Again cool looking deer.

Here's another decent buck on the same property.

Never saw this buck I call "Double-Double" all season after the late summer trail pics of him. I just checked my cameras today and he's still alive!!!!! There is so much terrain on this property it is hard to identify where he is actually bedding. I have suspected general ideas but I only ever get him on this one camera. I'm going to try a strategy of leap frogging my camera(s) back from food while he still has his antlers to try and get a sense of where he likes to bed so I can devise an early season strategy. This deer will be an absolute giant this coming season if he lives!!! Let me know what you guys do to zero in on a specific buck like this where there is a lot of possible areas for him to bed and hide. I should probably break down and get a cellular trail cam to keep up with him in real time. I've been following this deer for two season now I can't get him out of my mind.
