U know the Waltzin's too? Jimbob alright but Bubba off the cob and runs that old soapbox.... u tell old boy I slap the stank off him next time see him.....

Just shot a nice buck. Was stalking a big doe and she kept looking at something. Looked over and it was a shooter buck at about 60 yards. He dropped into a ravine and I started closing the distance. He was about 30 yards ever so slightly quartering to when he popped back up out of the ravine. The shot felt good, sounded good and he took off running hard. Didn't find my arrow yet but there appears to be bubbles in the blood. Gonna give him an hour or so. Really hope I recover this deer, he's a good one.

Trying out my Jx3 for its first hunt! First saddle hunt as well. Definetly some things that I need to work on.

Let us know when you find him. Good luck brother

How do you like it so far? What things do you need to work on?
1.) Tree size, the one im in now is about 25-30in in diameter. only gives me about 270 deg of rotation. It also makes the spacing on a ROS awkward. Its hard to push off from the tree to release the whale tale.

2.) Securing the ROS. I used a common strap with push release and i cant get it tight enough to hold the steps where i want them. They shifted down about 6in the minute I put weight into them. Thinking maybe a ratchet strap?

3.) Moving around the tree quietly. I had practiced this a couple of times, but definetly need some more. I think part of it is just being a rookie and not being used to to mobility of the whole thing.

Other than that. I love how comfortable the JX3 is. Definetly better than the old hang on im used to.

Have you tried a OCB(Quick Release Buckle)?

@Kmark77 definitely try a ocb or ratchet strap. If you have a strap with a flat metal hook doublesteps.com sales a good ocb for 3.99.
