Permethin will get your thermacell out of your gear. Didnt believe the hype, but got into it this year.My pack for early season has very little in it. Gutting kit, call, small first aid kit, cellphone battery, wind checker, flagging tape, thermacell, and that’s about it. In late season my pack is full but the extra items are boot blankets, heavier coat, and heavier hat to put on once I’m in the tree. These items are not heavy, just bulky. I do carry more than the bare minimalists but it’s a comfortable weight for me to carry. I am looking for a better pack than the Walmart special I’m using now but that may have to come once my birthday gets here.
Oh yeah. I use it too. If it’s just me hunting I don’t carry the Thermacell but when my daughter is with me, she’s a magnet even with Permethrin. I buy the concentrate and mix my own spray. Great stuff.Permethin will get your thermacell out of your gear. Didnt believe the hype, but got into it this year.

I see what you did there!Too much gear, whats that mean? Its like too much money theres no such thing!! A girl too pretty, a car too fast.......... I think thats how the song goes
I know you’re joking, but it almost came to that one time. I usually do carry.@PastorKen you may be getting a bit carried a way with the safety items. Bring a 9MM on a day sit and you can solve most of your predator problems
I've treated far too many injuries to go to the woods without my way more than basic first aid kit. I also have severe allergic reactions to some pollen's and to bee stings and my meds go with me also. Anyone who thinks it can't happen to them is betting their life on it.I teach hunter safety (or at least I did before Covid…) and I always pack a basic first aid kit, a whistle, and a spare (small) light. If I’m going way back I bring more safety stuff. I also bring a small pepper spray for dogs. I’ve had some scary encounters with dogs while hunting. I like to have an option besides getting bit or killing a dog.
You’re right. But I’d rather have it and not need it than need it and not have it.I found that packs were my problem with carrying to much....loose the pack and u don't take to much junk cause u don't have the room anyway
